Tree Lightings Buffalo

Are you already singing Christmas carols? Do you wonder where to find others in the holiday spirit? Look no further than these upcoming events in the Buffalo area:

Nov 18th at 3:30 – Light Up the Boulevard Electric Parade & Festival (Family Friendly)

Please note the new family-friendly time table where festivities start at 3:30 pm with Santa’s first visits of the season, vendors, games, music and crafts. Grand Island Boulevard closes at 4:30 pm in anticipation of the Rudolph Run, which starts promptly at 5:00, followed by the Electric Parade. The festivities close with the tree lighting in the Town Commons at the end of the parade and an opportunity to patronize the vendors until 7:00 pm. Mark your calendars and start your decorating early for the business and residential lighting contests. Town of Grand Island 2255 Baseline Rd.

Dec 1st at 5 pm – 7th annual Canalside Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting (Family Friendly)

This free, family-friendly event takes place at the Ice at Canalside presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, just off the Erie Canal Harbor Station on the Metro Rail! 44 Prime St.

This year’s event will include:

Tree lighting with Santa Claus
Free children’s activities, inlcuding visit with Santa Claus
Food & Beverage (Food trucks and in-house specialties)
Open skate- $6 for ages 13+, $5 ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and under
Pop-up performances from local groups
Live entertainment

Dec 2nd at 5 pm – Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration 2017 (Family Friendly)

The Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration kicks off the 2017-2018 Rotary Rink season with visits from Santa, free ice-skating, amusement rides, fireworks, and much more, all for free. What better way to kick off the holiday season in Downtown Buffalo.

This event is free-and-open to the public! 20 Fountain Plaza.

Dec 8th at 7 pm – Living Nativity (Family Friendly)

Please join EUCC as they share performances of the Birth of Jesus Christ. Hot chocolate and cider as well as some goodies will be available. They hope to see you all there to enjoy reliving the birth of Jesus! Ebenezer United Church of Christ 630 Main St.

 Dec 9 1:30 PM – SantaCon Buffalo 2017 (21+)

North Pole Stroll, Santa’s bar crawl in Buffalo on Chippewa.
Registration at 1:30pm, location TBD.
Tickets are only $10 – ALSO provide a new toy donation for the Boys & Girls Club of Black Rock & more.
Registration fee includes free entrance, drink and food specials.
Participating Bars:
Pre-register and automatically be entered to win a FREE RIDE on the Bottoms Up Party Bus to and from SantaCon Buffalo; Courtesy of Bottoms Up.
