EA’s financial woes
EA’s decision to make Star Wars: Battlefront 2 pay to win has had a lot of backlash in recent weeks. More so its horrible PR has cause EA to lose $3 billion in stock value over the last week. Now normally this would be a bad thing but it gets worse. During a Financial meeting, EA’s chief financial officer stated that they were looking that single player games weren’t the future of games and it would be in multiplayer games and micro transactions.
EA also stated that at some point in the future, they would be reading micro transactions to Battlefront 2. Thanks EA for being worse than Activision.
War for Net Neutrality
The war for net neutrality continues with recent news that the head of the FCC Ajit Pai is going to continue to move forward with the decision to remove net neutrality amid the outcry of gamers, tech companies, celebs and so on. Ajit and the big telecommunication companies are stating that growth cannot happen with these rules but in fact is the opposite. Visit here to read more.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 review
Star wars Battlefront 2 has been nothing short of a dumpster fire since its release and it hasn’t stopped since, in fact it’s been raging out of control. From the extremely short story (about 4.5hrs give or take) to some minor issues with controlling certain characters and vehicles, Battlefront 2’s only redeeming grace is the solid graphics (except a couple of cutscenes) and superb sounds, Battlefront 2 is one game that I would say rent first.
